So I was scanning the Apartment Therapy website tonight, checking out all the small apartments in their Small Cool Contest, and came across this interesting post: "Adding Monsters to Thrift Store Paintings". Redirected Paintings. Redirected paintings are paintings originally created or printed by someone else and then edited or corrected by another artist. There are some other examples in the post on the website. This is something that I'd be keen on trying this summer once I have more time.

For people who are looking for budget-friendly art in their homes and apartments, thrift store paintings are relatively cheap! This would also be a great excuse to go thrift shopping. Times like this I wish I didn't live in New York. I'm a huge fan of Ugly Dolls and just ugly things in general because I think they're cute. So look out for a post on a redirected monster painting in the near future.
